ZSIC General Insurance Managing Director Trevor Jengajenga wound up his two day visit to the Copperbelt with a tour of the Mufulira Area Office.
Mr. Jengajenga has reaffirmed management’s expectations for accelerated growth and innovation.
During the visit, the Managing Director noted that while the office is performing relatively well, there remains strong potential to further expand the business.
He challenged the team to adopt more innovative and proactive approaches to increase insurance sales, encouraging them to explore new channels and creative ways of growing the existing portfolio.
Mr. Jengajenga emphasized the need to tap into opportunities in the mining sector by strengthening corporate business and staff insurance schemes, given Mufulira’s strategic importance as a mining zone.
He also underscored the importance of strict compliance with the new regulatory requirements, stressing that adherence to evolving industry regulations remains a critical pillar of the Company’s operations and long-term sustainability.
In his update on the branch’s operations, Mufulira Area Manager Mr. Bowasi Zambi, said the office is actively pursuing new business opportunities and remains focused on growing its market presence.
He expressed confidence in the team’s ability to deliver on its mandate with continued support from management and highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance brand visibility in the area.
Mr. Jengajenga in the company of Director Legal Aaron Tembo and Director Branch Operations Sydney Mwanza also interacted with clients and sales agents at the branch.
